David Maxwell

Dave Maxwell is a Licensed Family and Marriage Therapist (LMFT). He has a Master’s Degree in Marriage, Family, and Individual Counseling.

My approach to therapy centers around the idea that every person is a unique individual with an inherent dignity. I seek to honor each person’s uniqueness in therapy. I believe that since each person’s and couple’s story is singular to them and affects them in specific ways; every person deserves to be heard and understood. I believe, even in the midst of tremendous hardship and pain, no situation is hopeless and strive to help individuals and couples find and illuminate the hope in life’s difficult circumstances.

Dave’s experience includes working with individuals and couples impacted by depression, anxiety, OCD, Autism, suicidal thoughts, trauma, relational issues, and life transitions. My areas of interest include play therapy, counseling children, counseling families, and counseling couples. He is also trained in EMDR.
